Sorting out some old photographs (2004) taken in the south of France. This is a dry-stone hut with a corbelled roof, dating from the early Middle Ages or earlier. It is typical of the Gard departement in the Provence region. The name "capitelle" comes from the Occitan language "Capitelà".
